"Logmein Ignition" for remote desktop access (works for both Mac and windows machines / multiple machines).
It does take some getting used to when remotely controlling machines.
I would still add Pages and Numbers for Word and Excel file editing.

I have not bought one or any affiliation. I have used Apple Bluetooth keyboard with my iPad, but it makes it a little less convenient to take anywhere. The solution of integration with the case feels right.
