TECHNOLOGY: Using technology as the excuse for process failures (via Reinke Faces Life)

It must be tough to work in a company with “shaky” IT systems.

I once worked in a company that had illegal copies of Windows XP on their old workstations.  When I brought this up to the owner he said he knew it.

I knew then that my time at that company would be short.  If someone isn’t honest with someone else, why would they be honest with you?

From then on, I probed to find out the ethics of the companies I interviewed with.  I had wrongly assumed before then that most people were good-natured.
