IOS4 killed my car Bluetooth

Apple – Support – Discussions – IOS4 killed my car Bluetooth… ….  Various cars and fixes proposed there.  Nothing that works for everyone.  The most effective things seem to be

1. Unpairing and repairing the phone.
2. Hard reset
3. Restoring as factory and syncing
