Does your iMac Screen goes white – have to force shutdown?

Issues upgrading from 10.5 to 10.6 – Computer Unresponsive on Reboot

The user has 3rd party hardware. Apple does a great job building in support for common devices but it can’t get everything in there.  I always try to upgrade without 3rd party hardware attached and then attach and check compatibility.
