Joseph has the answer.  ”Desktop pictures are located in :

Macintosh HD/Library/Desktop Pictures

This should be standard on all machines, however for some reason they are not there, then simply use Spotlight to search for “Aqua Blue” (the name of one of the backgrounds) and you can find it that way.”
