Don’t have permissions to restore on a Mac upgrade

Two ways listed in this post to fix the issue.  One is to rerun the installation for Snow Leopard and select the migration assistant.  The second is to manually change the permissions on the files by selecting the get info and then selecting the permissions tab at the bottom.  When you select All Administrators and read/write then everyone has permission to that file who is an administrator.  Read more here.
