Neither had I until they started! I'm far from alone but I only write about my own experiences and I find both Air and Flash Player to be worthy only of beta status.

I agree with you. Their performance has been disappointing. They are both slow to install and run. I just assumed it was because my Macbook is about 2 years old and has 2 GB of ram.

@sundazed and @chimac: I would love to know more. What types of applications are you running or building? How are you measuring performance? Rob Christensen, Product Manager, Adobe AIR

Hi Rob, I'm just an end user; not building anything. My problem is mostly getting BBC iPlayer to work (as it says on the blog). There lies my problem with Adobe AIR. However, Flash Player won't work (properly) with other sites too e.g. http://www.espn.co.uk. In my case it's not a matter of performance; more whether it works or not.

What confuses me is that I have a MacBook Pro as well, and Flash Player works absolutely fine on that. Having said that, AdobeAIR isn't installed on the MacBook Pro. And it isn't going to be either! I'm pretty good at tracking down problems with software, but this is the first one that's ever had me completely stumped. If it wasn't such a big deal I'd wipe the disk and start again.
