Hey! Anyone had to force quit an application in Snow Leopard?

I used to do it all the time with Tiger.  But I can’t recall doing it at all in Snow Leopard or Leopard for that matter.  Has anyone had this problem?

Thanks to everyone who responded.  I have 2 GB of Ram and generally run several programs at a time.  I have had programs crash most often Firefox/Chromium.  That usually happened when I was watching some video other than YouTube.

Sometimes, I have to force quit Mail app in Snow Leopard before shutting down my MBP.

Had to do it today to iTunes – but unfortunately it had locked it’s Library, so I even had to restart OS X (10.6.2) – This never worked, so I had to use the big button to force the machine to stop. Dunno if it was iTunes or a plugins fault.
