Easy solution here. Make sure according to thefiend “When your iPod is connected to iTunes, select your iPod (under devices) then click on the iTunes U pane. I think this pane has only been available since the new 9 version of iTunes. On mine, the Sync iTunes U was not ticked. It needs to be ticked, and then you need to click on Apply which will perform another Sync.”
