Two perspectives on EMC Retrospect 8

Stay away from it!  Even version 8.1 has some issues.  Read here for another persons experience.

This software has had issues for a long time.  I have used it when it was version 6 and it was full of issues.  The company was bought out and some thought it was going to be abandoned.  Instead what users of 8 discovered is that it had bugs that deleted their libraries and backups.  Oops!  Sorry about that!
